The whole site got some much needed housekeeping these last few weeks. The W3 logo on the contents frame certifies that at least that part of the site is in code compliance. Some new page-handling techniques have been incorporated to make the site more tightly integrated and aesthetically pleasing (I think). Fresh graphics have been added, plus a couple of new pages, one devoted to wine and grapes, one dealing with cartography, and another that organized the political sites I've collected. I'm still royaly angry at the way this country is being flushed down the toilet by the powers that be, so, if you are too, this is a good place to go to realize you aren't alone. There is also a completely new page devoted to household tips.
The Religion page has finally gotten some attention. I've retitled it "Religion and Mythology" to reflect more accurately what the page is about. A whole host of new links are up, representing many of the world's great religions: Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, animism, and--for lack of a better word--spiritualism. One site that particularly excited me is Cosmic Harmony. It is truly beautiful and full of inspirational ideas.
The music page has finally been overhauled. I've added some new and important entries for you to check out, and I've expanded the discographies of nearly all of the entries.
Also new is a page on cooking and recipes. It is packed with thousands of recipes found on the internet. As I mature this page, I'll post some of my own recipes, but for now enjoy the talents of so many others out there.
Don't forget to visit the page of original aphorisms.
Those new essays that I've been working on have gotten stalled. The two new ones that are up still are not completed. Sorry about that. However, I have written (and completed) a poem which I think is in the spirit of my INTP personality, now that I read it from some distance in time.
If you are interested in classic computer games, you might check out the new Computer Games page, located off the main links page. This is my new shrine to the "good old days" of computer games (the 80's and early 90's). There are links to download sites, too!
Once again, I'm trying a new color scheme. This one is calmer than my previous one, so I'm going to live with it for a little while and see what happens. Let me know what you think. In addition, I've added color changes to the text on a mouse flyover. This improves the interactivity of the site by giving the user more visual feedback.
